Cassava value chain development necessitates the active transfer of technologies among the actors involved. The study ascertained the cassava technologies transmitted among actors and identified the communication methods employed in technology transfer from the developers to the end users. A multi-stage sampling procedure was used to select a total of 258 respondents from farmers, processors, inputs dealers, Oyo State ADP extension agents and researchers from IITA and IAR&T using random and systematic sampling techniques. Data were collected with validated questionnaires and analysed using frequency counts, percentages, mean and standard deviation. The results revealed that substantial cassava production technologies were transmitted to and used by farmers except some yield optimizing technologies namely stem cutting with secateurs (x̅=1.2±1.79) and sprouting of cuttings in polythene bags (x̅=0.9±1.71). The most transferred processing technologies as evident from its intense use by processors were fermentation racks/drums (x̅=2.3 ±0.44), graters/chippers (x̅=1.8 ±0.73) and pressers (x̅=1.8 ±0.82). The producers largely explored interpersonal communication methods, while group training and mass media methods were the main communication methods used for extension delivery. It is recommended that the states’ ADP should be updated with new research recommendations and equipped adequately to deliver its mandate of technological advisory services to end-users.
