Low soil nutrient affects the growth of some tree species in the study location due to a lack of laboratory analysis to determine the soil physicochemical properties for tree growth and performance. Direct and indirect method of tree measurement was used, and systematic sampling (simple random sampling) was used for soil sample collection. The species of trees assessed were Neem, Black currant and Gmelina, the measurement taken were DBH, Basal Area, Total height, Merchantable height, Bole height, Diameter at the base, Crown dept, Normal form quotient, and Absolute form quotient having mean values of 134.01, 15.73, 10.48, 50.39, 32.83, 16.49, 101.12, 399.77, 22.07 and 99.67m for Neem, Gmelina: 223.91, 36.04, 52.03, 108.16, 74.16, 49.15, 149.48, 1056.06, 21.05, and 107.8m1. Blackcurrant: 103.07, 7.25, 2.14, 39.73, 37.26, 58.08, 70.61, 226.27, 52.27 and 191.72m respectively and volumes for Neem, Gmelina and Black currant were 399.77m3, 1056.06m3 and 226.27m3 respectively. Results of physical properties of soil nursery and plantation (sand, silt/loamy, clay, texture, bulk density and porosity) with min/max, mean, percentage and standard error at 0-20cm and 21-40cm soil depth were 2.39/96 (1.0/94.0), 4/78 (1.57/59.50), 3.45/68.08 (1.51/67.95), and 0.68/22.50 (0.18/34.5) respectively. Results of chemical properties of soil nursery and plantation (pH, EC, OC, TN, AVP, and K) min/max, mean, percentage, and standard error at 0-20. cm and 21-40cm soil depth were 0.06/15.96 (0.00/14.96), 0.04/12.98 (0.05/12.81), 0.17/55.92 (0.21/61.12) and 0.04/2.98 (0.03/3.37) respectively. Gmelina performs above other tree species in mean, volume, silt/loamy, and AV-P of the soil in the study area also a good source of Carbon-dioxide Sink.
