Much can be achieved when people work together for common goal. This study examined agricultural cooperative as a veritable in the sustenance of agricultural activities of crop farmers in Ekiti State, Nigeria. Multistage sampling procedure was used to select 200 respondents for the study. Data were collected using interview schedule and analysed using descriptive statistics. Provision of loans and funds for members at lower interest rates with conditions more favourable than what is obtainable from other sources and free flow of information were the major contributions of cooperative to members’ agricultural activities. Inadequate accumulated funds and lack of skilled staff were the major challenges that hindered the cooperatives from performing at their best. Conclusively, with well trained staff and good management, agricultural cooperative is imperative and relevant for the activities of crop farmers in Nigeria. The study therefore recommends that cooperative should recruit competent staff to manage its operations, while government and other private finance institutions should help make funds available to cooperative societies.
